Shania Twain is fed up and bored with Country music right now and she's ready to shake things up and help create change. During an interview with E! news she said," We have too much of the sameness."
Shania is currently judging a new reality singing competition called "Real Country" on USA Network which follows Twain and fellow Nashville star Jake Owen as they discover rising country stars.
When Shania was asked about the state of women artist in country music today she said, "What women? We have too much of the sameness right now. I'm a little bit bored of it, and I want to pick it up. The only way to do that is to be proactive ... I wanted a show that, when you talk about diversity, that includes gender diversity, style diversity, lifestyle diversity."
New episodes of "Real Country" air on Tuesdays on the USA Network. Jake Owen and Travis Tritt are also judges.
