Lunchbox provided an update on The Bobby Bones Show regarding a medical issue he has been dealing with for several weeks.
He explained that the situation began with pain on the left side of his stomach, which led him to visit a doctor. While that pain was being examined, he later noticed swelling in one testicle. Despite seeing multiple doctors over time, Lunchbox admitted that he had not mentioned or shown the swelling during those earlier visits. Instead, he shared the issue with the show before eventually being encouraged to seek urgent care or emergency medical attention. Lunchbox said he decided to visit urgent care after checking emergency room wait times and seeing that urgent care had no wait. During the visit, a doctor examined him and acknowledged that the affected testicle appeared different and larger when compared to the other one. She told him she could see why he was concerned but said she was not certain what was causing the swelling.
The doctor recommended that Lunchbox schedule an appointment with a urologist. Lunchbox asked whether the situation was serious enough to require an emergency room visit. According to him, the doctor said she was not sure it was severe and did not indicate that immediate emergency care was necessary. Lunchbox shared that he has seen approximately six doctors regarding various symptoms and often selects providers based on who can see him the fastest, rather than having an established care team. He acknowledged that this approach could be a factor in the lack of definitive answers he has received.
During the discussion, the show addressed whether the size difference could be minor or more noticeable. Lunchbox described the difference as significant enough to be concerning, using comparisons to explain the contrast. A listener voicemail was also shared, expressing that being referred between doctors and specialists without clear answers is a common experience for many patients and families. Lunchbox confirmed that he has scheduled an appointment with a urologist for January 12. Based on the urgent care doctor’s response, the show noted that there was no immediate indication that the issue required emergency treatment.
The segment concluded with Lunchbox thanking the show for the discussion and confirming he will follow up after his upcoming appointment.
