Stanley Dixie Youth Baseball Team Wins State Championship!!

Congratulations to Stanley's National 8U Coach Pitch All-Star Team. They remained undefeated through-out the entire Dixie Youth State Championship tournament at Martha Rivers Park in Gastonia and earned the title of State Champions!! Now they'll represent North Carolina in Hattiesburg, Mississippi July 27th- August 1st as they work to bring home the World Series Title.

If you've ever had the honor to watch a recreational baseball game at Harper Park in Stanley - there are two things you immediately notice. The love the community has for each other and baseball AND the talent and passion radiating from the coaches as well as their players. It's a magical place. It's the reason I signed my kids up and drive 30 minutes to play in Stanley!! It's also the reason I spent my weekend driving to Gastonia to watch these incredible kids play and WIN the state championship....I could say a million incredible things about the team, the coaches, the families and Tug Deason (the head of the recreation department) and it still couldn't paint the picture of how remarkable the environment and experience truly is.

I am so, so, so proud of these kids!!! So please help me shout as loud as possible CONGRATULATIONS STANLEY NATIONAL!!! THE DIXIE YOUTH STATE CHAMPIONS!! Now let's go bring home the World Series title!
