There's some drama brewing in the world of Country music. Last Tuesday, Brittany Aldean shared a video on Instagram showing her make-up less face transitioning to full glam. She captioned the video with, "I'd really like to thank my parents for not changing my gender when I went through my tomboy phase. I love this girly life."
Jason Aldean responded to Brittany's post; "LMAO!! I'm glad they didn't too, cause you and I wouldn't' have worked out." But Aldean wasn't the only celebrity with something to say.
Cassadee Pope posted to Twitter, "You'd think celebs with beauty brands would see the positives in including LGBTQ+ people in their messaging. But instead here we are, hearing someone compare their "tomboy" phase to someone wanting to transition. Be nice."
And then Maren Morris takes it up a notch and responds to Pope's Twitter by calling Brittany an "Insurrection Barbie." Jason Aldean joins the comments with "MY Barbie" and Brittany responds too...thanking Maren for calling her Barbie but instead of calling her Maren Morris she calls her "Karen Morris."
I'm guessing these country singers and their spouses won't be sitting near each other at any events in the near future.
