'General Hospital' star Steve Burton wanted fans to hear the news from his mouth. Burton, known as Jason Morgan was fired over the vaccine mandate. In an Instagram video he shared,"Unfortunately, ‘General Hospital’ has let me go because of the vaccine mandate. I did apply for my medical and religious exemptions, and both of those were denied, which, you know, hurts. But this is also about personal freedom to me."
Burton is hopeful that one day he may be able to return to the show if the mandate should ever get lifted. Although this isn't the outcome he had hoped for he is encouraged by knowing that when "one door shuts others will open."
