Big news in the world of racing. NBA legend and North Carolina superstar Michael Jordan and race car driver Denny Hamlin have teamed up to create a new NASCAR Cup Series race team.
Bubba Wallace will be the first driver to join the team, signing a multi-year deal.
"Growing up in North Carolina, my parents would take my brothers, sisters and me to races, and I've been a NASCAR fan my whole life," said Jordan.
According to our TV partner WCNC TV, Jordan will serve as the owner of the new team with Hamlin as a minority partner.
Look out for the team in 2021.
