Basketball legend, Kobe Bryant and his 13-year-old daughter GiGi died in a helicopter crash early Sunday Morning in Calabasas, CA. The two were on their way to nearby Thousand Oaks for basketball practice at Mamba Academy. According to TMZ, three other people were on-board Kobe's private helicopter and they also died in the crash. Kobe's wife of 19-years, Vanessa Bryant was not traveling with them. Kobe leaves behind his wife and their three daughters, Natalia, Bianca and newborn baby girl Capri.
This is one of the biggest tragedies to hit the NBA. Kobe Bryant was one of the greatest basketball players of all time. During his career he won 5 NBA Championships, had both of his Laker jerseys retired (the only player in Laker history to hold that honor and he won many MVP titles along the way. Kobe was 41-years-young when he passed.
