It's no secret, I take BIG pride in my town and the amazing community of people who live there. There's just something about Kings Mountain, we all just feel like family. With that said, I was so excited to have Kings Mountain's Will Wilson join our good news segment this Morning!
I first heard about the Wilson's from my niece Elliot, Mrs. Wilson (Will's Mom) was her 2nd grade teacher and Elliot adored her. Then I heard of them once again when my sister Nikki called sharing the good news, Mrs. Wilson's son had just been drafted into the Major Leagues!!!!!
I've now had the honor to meet (half of) this amazing family. Will and his Dad came by the radio station to join our good news segment. Now let the bragging begin.... This year, Will was named Consensus All-American and was considered one of the top prospects for the 2019 Major League Baseball draft. June 3rd, 2019 he was selected by the Los Angeles Angels with the 15th overall selection!!!!!!!!
And there's more good news. Will is also getting married this year!! He and his beautiful bride to be, Tori Dozier, are tying the knot this December. Wanna guess the location? Yes, of course, KINGS MOUNTAIN!
