CHARLOTTE, N.C.- As it stands now, some say the Uber and Lyft experience for people trying to pick up a ride from the Charlotte Douglas International Airport is not a pleasant time.
The ride-share area is frequently crowded, leading to numerous delays and obstacles for drivers and riders.
In response to inquiries from Mayor Pro Tem Julie Eiselt, Charlotte Douglas Airport officials told Charlotte Council members that changes are going to be made.
Airport officials said construction on the terminal roadway should wrap up by the end of the month. Once the traffic shift is in place, officials said there will be two lanes and an entire zone to pick up ride-share passengers.
