Zac Brown "I'm Not Just Country, I Create What Moves Me"

Zac Brown has been an extremely busy guy lately, putting out two albums; one with his band called "The Owl" and a solo album called "The Controversy." The two albums are polar opposites leaving many fans confused. Zac's "The Controversy" album is not country at all but leans more into the pop genre. Zac opened up about his music and his divorce on CBS This Morning. When it comes to his music, Zac just wants to be classified as an 'artist' without the label of a genre attached to it. He loves music and creating the type of music that moves him and he doesn't want to be stuck having one sound. In the interview he says,

“I’m not just a country artist, I’m not. I have to create what moves me and what connects with my fans and I don’t really care about the buckets… but I don’t like being coined as a country artist, I just like being an artist. Purists, I get ’em, they should just listen to the songs of mine that are more country and leave me alone about all the other ones because I don’t really care what they have to say about them.”

One thing's for sure, Zac knows how to create beautiful songs so as long as he continues to create great country music... we're happy!!
