Have you ever received a call from a scammer that tries to get personal information as they try to convince you that you're in trouble with the law? You're not the only one. An Apex Police captain picked up a call from a scammer that told her she was facing 25 charges and a sheriff's deputy was on the way to arrest her. The scammer wanted personal information like the last four digits of her social security number. NEVER give this information out. Even if the scammer has "some" information on you, never confirm it. If there were ever a reason you should have a charge on you, you wouldn't be getting a telemarketer call so don't fall for their scam.
