Paul and I were talking about the time I was on the Maury show many years ago and he asked if I would share pictures with you. This was MANY years ago and you would never get me to do something like this now. LOL... Here's the story of why I was on the Maury show.
Many years ago I moved from Kings Mountain, NC to work on a Morning Show in New York City! You meet a lot of people in the big apple and a newly made friend called and asked for a huge favor. (I didn't realize how huge at the time) She said, "Hey Sarah Lee our Lady Gaga look alike just dropped out and we need someone who can get here asap and stand in. We will get a makeup artist to contort your face, send a car service to get you to Connecticut... can you help us out."
I said yes without even asking questions or thinking it through! When I arrived at Maury, the Lady Gaga costume was made for a shorter person so they had to literally go out and buy bathing suit bottoms and sew the costume on me. I was mortified when I saw the outfit. "You want me to walk on the stage in public on National Television in THAT?" My heart literally hit the floor.
The story line: (This small town girl came to the big city to pursue her dreams) at least that part was true AND she's a lady gaga look alike. (I look NOTHING like GAGA) BUT with the help of my very dear friend Guy Guido and his amazing makeup skills... I was transformed into Gaga!
