Steph Curry made a young Carolina boy’s dream come true! 8-year-old Jackson Smoakwrote Curry a letter explaining how he wanted to do something nice for his hero, his Dad, who saved him when he had lost consciousness in a pool.
The letter read, "As a Father's Day surprise I'd love to surprise my dad with matching father and son Steph Curry 6 shoes. He means a lot to me, pretty amazing. I wouldn't have been here if he didn't save me.”
Together, Jackson and his Dad love watching Steph Curry play basketball, so he decided to write his favorite player. To his surprise, Steph Curry delivered and sent Jackson and his Dad matching shoes and although it was supposed to be for Father’s Day, the surprise was too much to be kept a secret that long.
Jackson’s dad remembers that day, “"Riding his tricycle in backyard, looked once, he was there, a minute later his tricycle was floating. I ran through the house, jumped in the pool. I could see him floating face down, swam and threw him out and gave him CPR until he was breathing,"
