West Stanly High School held a special graduation ceremony on Feb. 27 so Cameron Brown's gravely ill father could watch his son walk across the stage.
Brown's father fell off a ladder years ago and was paralyzed. Since then, he's had health issues and needs a transplant, but is not in the right condition to receive it.
The hospital sent him home to live out his final moments with family and friends.
West Stanly High School arranged for Cameron to don a cap and gown, receive a mock diploma and have photo opportunities with his family so his father could be part of the big day.
