Priscilla Block has come a long way from working in a yogurt shop, attending night school, and writing songs.
As the world shut down due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the North Carolina native began releasing her music on TikTok and, thanks to her fans, now has a record deal, made her Grand Ole Opry debut, and just delivered her first EP.
In a recent interview with Cody Alan, the singer says that the collection of songs heard on her self-titled EP is something she fondly refers to as "sass, trash, and sad."
"I feel like this EP is me as a whole. It's got all kinds of all sides of me," says the "Thick Thighs" singer. "I like to say "sass, trash, and sad." So there's some sassy, there's some trashy, there's some sad girl stuff on it too."
"I like to say it's kind of the journey of someone falling apart to find themselves again and regain their confidence, and that's how the tracks move throughout it."
When it comes to songwriting, nothing is off the table for Priscilla. Hear for yourself by streaming or downloading her 'Priscilla Block' EP now.
