Loretta Lynn's 50th studio album — yes FIFTY — arrived today (March 19) and Lynn called upon two more country powerhouses for the album's title track that celebrates the power of womankind.
"Still Woman Enough" features the one and only Reba McEntire and Carrie Underwood and if that wasn't enough to make you love the song, the empowering and fun lyrics are sure to hook you in!
Lynn, the queen she is, is situated on a throne with her guitar by her side on the cover art and the country icon starts the song singing about her own resilience going through tough times and making it through.
"I'm still woman enough, still got what it takes inside / I know how to love, lose, and survive / Ain't much I ain't seen, I ain't tried / Been knocked down but never out of the fight," the three sing in the song's chorus.
Underwood and McEntire also each get their own verses that you'll definitely be singing loud and proud:
"I was raised in Oklahoma / I'm country proud to say / I've seen a lot of changes / But I ain't never changed,” McEntire belts out before Underwood chimes in with her part.
"Well this here girl's been here and done that / They call me hillbilly but I got the last laugh / Standing here today / Proving in every way / I'm still woman enough."
"We were talking about doing this and you hear the song title, 'Still Woman Enough,' it's like you know it's going to be something kinda sassy,” Underwood said. “When I heard it, it definitely made sense that the three of us would be singing together. It does kind of feel like not just this female get-together song but it's like we're lifting each other up, we're standing together and I love moments like that.”
