Carrie Underwood shared an unforgettable moment with a 4-year-old fan who got to see the Denim & Rhinestones star perform live for the first time on the TODAY Show on Thursday morning (September 14).
Hoda Kotb couldn’t help but notice the young fan with her sign, and approach with her mic to talk with her. The girl, Harper, from Pennsylvania, brought a sign that reads: “I love Carrie, bring me on stage for a hug.” Harper, donning an adorable skirt with cowboy boots and a hat, got a boost on stage to get a hug from her favorite singer. Underwood declared the shy young fan her “mini me,” and let her wave hello to everyone as she stood on stage.
Underwood delivered powerful performances of her career-spanning hits, including her latest single, “Out Of That Truck,” a throwback to her debut album with one of the most iconic anthems from that record, “Before He Cheats,” and more. Underwood also shared details about her upcoming deluxe edition of her latest full-length album, Denim & Rhinestones, which is set to release next Friday, September 22. The “Ghost Story” megastar is keeping her latest era alive, even after wrapping her “Denim & Rhinestones Tour” earlier this year. The 43-city trek raised more than $420,000 for the Tunnel To Towers Foundation, supporting emergency workers and their families.
