Naomi Cooke Johnson is expecting her first child!
Cooke Johnson, the former frontwoman of beloved country trio Runaway June, debuted her growing baby bump during a performance at the annual Country Radio Seminar (CRS) in Nashville, Tennessee (a surprise not unlike Rihanna’s pregnancy reveal during the Super Bowl halftime show). Cooke Johnson’s wore a sheer top baring her bump as she danced on stage and covered Whitney Houston’s iconic anthem, “I Wanna Dance With Somebody (Who Loves Me).” Cooke Johnson, who helped start Runaway June in 2015, opted to leave the trio last year to pursue solo endeavors.
The country artist hasn’t confirmed any additional details on her social media channels as of publication time on Wednesday (March 15). Neither has her husband, Martin Johnson, frontman of The Night Game and Boys Like Girls.
Cooke Johnson and her husband tied the knot in July 2021. They married in a stunning ceremony at Bald Mountain Camps Resort in Rangley, Maine, dubbing it a “Parent Trap/Summer Camp themed wedding.” Cooke Johnson said at the time that “a small but mighty fortress of friends and family” were there to see the start of their lives as husband and wife. This will be the couple’s first child together.
