When you attend a concert there's a chance that your face is being scanned through a facial recognition system and you have no idea!
Taylor Swift used this system during a concert at California’s Rose Bowl this past May. Why? To find and prevent Taylor Swift stalkers from getting in. Concert goers had no idea they were being secretly recorded. Taylor Swift’s facial recognition system was built into a kiosk that displayed highlights of her rehearsals, which would secretly record onlookers’ faces.
According to Rolling Stone, concert attendees who looked at the kiosk were immediately scanned. The information was then sent to a “command post” in Nashville, Tennessee that attempted to match hundreds of images to a database of her stalkers.
So next time you're at a concert just know that there's a big chance you're being recorded.
