I watch the news every Morning while getting ready for work. This Morning I heard something that shook me to the core. "Women are less likely to receive CPR." According to CardioSmart, The survival rate of cardiac arrest is less than 12 percent, CPR can double or even triple a victim’s odds of surviving. If women aren't getting the help they need that lessens their chance of survival. But WHY aren't women getting the help they need?
In an American Heart Association study it showed women are less likely to receive CPR in public due to fear of injury or sexual assault. Please, don't be the person to walk past a woman in distress over fears society burdens you with. Help like it was your Mom, Aunt, Grandma, Sister or Daughter that could benefit from your actions. You have the power to help save someone’s life.
