"Moms" shouldn't wear sexy Halloween costumes?!

Did you know there’s a secret rule that once you reach a certain age you should no longer wear sexy Halloween costumes? I was in line at Target and overheard a conversation where the statement was made,” older ladies and moms shouldn’t wear sexy costumes, they should be ashamed of themselves.”

I’m a Mom of two little boys (4 yr old and 2 month old) and this never crossed my mind. Matter of fact, my Halloween costume this year is Elastigirl from the ‘Incredibles’ movie!! I wore my costume 2 weeks ago to my sons 4th Birthday party at Chuck E Cheese, I had no idea this secret rule even existed.  To top it off, I JUST had a baby two months before. According to this rule I was REALLY crossing the line. =)

Ladies, don’t let anyone tell you how you should dress.  If your costume makes you feel beautiful, WEAR IT!! Don’t let someone else’s unhappiness dim your light! Put your sexy superhero costume on, dust off your cape and #ShineOn
