I'll admit, I still LOVE The Simpsons. I never miss an episode (even if it's not a great as it once was) So I always love when things pop up to be true, that were predicted in the show. The most notable is when they predicted Donald Trump would become President ... Who saw that coming?? So now there is a clip of a Simpsons episode from 1998 that actually predicted the was in the Ukraine, and people are asking a LOT of questions. Show runner, Al Jean had this to say about the episode:
“In terms of predictions, there are two kinds we have: The trivial, like Don Mattingly getting in trouble for his hair in ‘Homer At The Bat’,” Jean said. “And then there are predictions like this. I hate to say it, but I was born in 1961, so 30 years of my life were lived with the specter of the Soviet Union. So, to me, this is sadly more the norm than it is a prediction. We just figured things were going to be bad.”
