Tomorrow (Friday, June 24th), ELVIS, the long-awaited movie from Baz Luhrman will be released. Little by little, the makers of the film have been giving us little kernels, including a couple of trailers for the movie itself and a :31 second clip of Kacey Musgraves covering the Elvis classic "Can't Help Falling In Love," among other things. Considering how much I love Kacey Musgraves and "Can't Help Falling In Love" is my FAVORITE Elvis song, I couldn't wait to hear the whole thing!
Well, the full song has finally been released and it is every bit as spectacular as you'd guess.
In addition, the song was released with a video showing pieces of the movie highlighting the turbulent love affair between Elvis and Priscilla Presley. Man oh man... both this soundtrack AND this movie are going to be A+! Of course, considering how much I love both Moulin Rouge and The Great Gatsby, I would expect nothing less from anything that Baz Luhrman touches.
And how great is this video?! If you're anything like me, you watch this video (teary-eyed, of course), and you absolutely can't wait to see the movie and hear the whole soundtrack. The movie is finally out tomorrow... you can find me at a theater this weekend :)
