Can we all agree that Dolly Parton is an American Treasure? And she always has been!!! Need proof? Here is a clip of Dolly on The Tonight Show with Johnny Carson. The video is from 1977 and she tells the story of how she met her husband Carl just after she moved to Nashville at the laundromat, which she claims was called the Wishy Washy. At the time of this video, they were married only 10 years. Don't you love that 55 years later, they are still together?? She also tells a cute story about Carl working in the yard with tourists passing by, while he tells the tourists that Dolly nice but her husband isn't. OK, I just screwed up the story... it is SO MUCH better when she tells it.
