Chatting with Michael Ray

I really dig Michael Ray. He's one of those artists that really caught my attention from his first song "Kiss You In The Morning," and I have been a big fan of everything he has done since.

Michael's love of music runs deep. He grew up playing traditional Country music in a family band that included his dad and grandpa Amos and was called The Country Cousins. His grandfather was the inspiration for Michael's second album Amos. Amos and Michael's self-titled debut album have spawned five RIAA Gold-Certified songs- "Get To You," "Her World Or Mine," Kiss You In The Morning," "Think A Little Less," and "One That Got Away," with the last three all hitting number one on the charts.

Michael has a fantastic new song out called "Whiskey And Rain," which will be featured on a forthcoming album that Michael will tell us more about in the coming weeks. In the meantime, here is a chat we had today about the new music, the new album, and what he's been up to over the last year since the pandemic stopped him from touring. I hope you enjoy our chat as much as I enjoyed chatting with him. He's such a great guy and artist and I can't wait to see what's next for him!
