In my line of work we get to meet some pretty cool people, and one of my favorites is Granger Smith. I have had the pleasure of meeting Granger numerous times and he is genuinely one of the nicest guys you will ever meet. He's the guy you "root for." I cheered for him when his breakout hit "Backroad Song" hit number one, and I cried for him when I learned of the tragic death of his sweet baby boy in a drowning accident.
Granger and his family have bravely picked themselves up after that tragedy and are sharing the ins and outs of daily life on his new You Tube series "The Smiths. Granger has also continued to make music- in fact, he just released his new album Country Things, Vol. 1 this past Friday. He also has a fantastic apparel line called YeeYee Apparel with his brothers.
Granger was kind enough to take a few minutes to call, chat, and catch up. Here is our interview in it's entirety.
