Chatting With Ashley McBryde

If you've never listened to Ashley McBryde's music, do yourself a favor and listen. She is nothing short of amazing... her voice, the songs, everything about her is incredible.

Ashley's major label debut album Girl Goin' Nowhere really turned a lot of heads, earning Ashley her first Grammy nomination for Best Country Album in 2019. Girl Goin' Nowhere was the only debut album to be nominated that year. She received more accolades in 2019, including the ACM New Female Artist of the Year, CMA New Artist of the Year, CMT Breakout Artist of the Year, and CMT Breakthrough Video of the Year awards. So far in 2020, she was nominated for two Grammy Awards for Best Country Song and Best Country Solo Performance for the song "Girl Goin' Nowhere," and she is nominated for two ACMs, including Song of the Year for "Girl Going Nowhere" and Musical Event of the Year along with Miranda Lambert, Maren Morris, Tenille Townes, Caylee Hammack, and Elle King for their version of "Fooled Around and Fell In Love." The ACM Awards have been postponed until September 16th due to the current coronavirus pandemic.

Friday, Ashley will release her second album called Never Will, which features her latest song "One Night Standards." Ashley was kind enough to call and chat about the new album as well as how she's social distancing during the pandemic, the shows she has been binge-watching, song-writing, Styrofoam, and more! Here is our chat in it's entirety. Give it a listen, and be sure to grab Ashley's new album Friday. In fact, downloading Never Will and listening over and over and over again sure would be a great way to pass time while social distancing!
