Chatting with Kyle Petty

It was such an honor earlier today chatting with Kyle Petty! I love his views on everything... his outlook on Charlotte's Roval and the Erik Jones penalty is very insightful. And I really enjoyed talking to him about the possibility of Indycar coming to Charlotte Motor Speedway. Actually, I just enjoyed our conversation start to finish!!

My favorite part of the conversation was finding out how he felt about the Roval coming along after he retired. Did he wish he had never retired so that he could race the Roval, or was he glad to be out to see the Roval as a broadcaster? His answer is great! And speaking of Kyle as a broadcaster, isn't he along with the entire NBC team great?

Hopefully you can make it to Charlotte Motor Speedway this weekend to see the Roval in action. Friday is Bojangles Qualifying Day, Saturday is the Xfinity Series' Drive for the Cure 250 presented by Blue Cross Blue Shield of North Carolina, and Sunday, the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series takes to the track for the Bank of America Roval 400. There is also a "Rock the Roval" concert Saturday featuring YACHT Rock Revue and Tim Duggar concerts, and you've been hearing us talk about Chris Lane doing the pre-race concert before the cup race Sunday... that's going to be a ton of fun! Plus Mario Andretti will be the honorary pace car driver Sunday! So what are you waiting for? Get your tickets here or at 800-455-FANS. Kids 13 and under get in for just $10 to the Bank of America Roval 400, and they're free Friday and Saturday. Plus there are some pretty amazing weekend packages available starting at just $79.

If you can't make it to the track, be sure to at least watch the race. Saturday's Xfinity race is at 3:30pm on NBCSN, and Sunday's Cup race will be on NBC at 2:30. And check out my entire conversation with the legendary Kyle Petty here!

I love this picture of Kyle the Broadcaster that he posted a few weeks ago on Instagram. As much as we all loved Kyle the race car driver, you gotta admit that Kyle the Broadcaster is pretty great!!
