Watch: Highwomen and Jimmy Fallon cover Fleetwood Mac's "The Chain"

This might be the coolest thing you see all day! On a recent trip to the Tonight Show, The Highwomen joined host jimmy Fallon for an intimate acoustic performance of the Fleetwood Mac classic "The Chain." This was recorded as part of Jimmy's "Backstage Acoustic" feature and was in addition to their performance on the show.

The Highwomen is comprised of Maren Morris, Brandi Carlisle, Amanda Shires, and Natalie Hemby. This is their side project- and a VERY cool project at that!- and they have an album coming out September 6th. The name The Highwomen is a takeoff on the band The Highwaymen, which was the side project of Waylon Jennings, Willie Nelson, Johnny Cash, and Kris Kristofferson. In fact, The Highwomen will include their version of the song "Highwayman" on that forthcoming album. You can also listen for The Highwomen's version of "The Chain" in the new Melissa McCarthy movie "The Kitchen," but in the meantime, check out this acoustic performance with Jimmy Fallon!

In this video, Maren has the long blonde hair, Brandi has the short wavy hair, Natalie has the long brown hair, and Amanda has the glasses and the fiddle. Also featured are Brandi's bandmates and collaborators Phil (bass) and Tim (guitar) Hanseroth, who are known to Brandi's fans as "the twins." The other guitar player is Jason Isbell, who is a musician in his own right and is married to Amanda.
