Loretta Lynn and Patsy Cline will be the focus of a new movie on Lifetime! Patsy and Loretta have each had movies made about them in the past. In 1980, "Coal Miner's Daughter" was released with Sissy Spacek as Loretta Lynn. Five years later, "Sweet Dreams" came out with Jessica Lange in the role of Patsy Cline, but Lifetime is putting the finishing touches on a movie that focuses on the close friendship between the two Queens of Country Music. "Patsy and Loretta" will air on Lifetime later this fall. An exact date has not yet been released.
"Patsy & Loretta" stars Megan Hilty from "Smash" as Patsy Cline, and Broadway star Jessie Mueller plays Loretta Lynn. The movie will also feature Kyle Schmid from "Six" as Patsy Cline's second husnad Charlie Dick, and Joe Tippett from "Rise" plays Loretta Lynn's husband Olivier Lynn, better known as Doolittle or just "Doo."
Lifetime released the first trailer for the movie and here it is. Looks pretty great, doesn't it?!
