This is straight up crazy! This happened last week at the airport in Phoenix. A 19 year old man man rushed checkpoint security, plowing down one TSA agent and taking a swing at another one before finally being wrestled to the ground by a group of workers. Investigators believe that he was under the influence of alcohol or drugs at the time (ya think???). He is being charged with felony trespassing, resisting arrest, and five counts of misdemeanor assault. He is scheduled to be in court for a preliminary hearing on Friday.
Would this not freak you out if you saw this at the airport? This would FREAK ME OUT! I am such a nervous flyer anyway, and then add in a misbehaving passenger charging through the metal detector... there wouldn't be enough pre-flight wine at the the bar to calm my nerves after this!
