When I was a kid, my dad had NO PROBLEM WHATSOEVER embarrassing me. I think he thrived on it. I remember one time when I was around 15 or 16 years old, I left the house with a boy I liked. My dad stood on the front porch and yelled at the top of his lungs to the boy "HEY, WE NEVER POTTY TRAINED HER SO WHEN SHE S**TS HER PANTS, YOU BRING HER HOME!" I was mortified. I mean, teenage girls wouldn't ever want the boy that they like to know that they poop, let alone get the idea that they would do it in their pants! Geesh!
Of course, now that I'm grown up I think that story's hilarious. But believe me... mid-teens me was NOT amused what.so.ever.
So, I watch this video and there's part of me that really feels for this girl. I know how it feels to be completely embarrassed by your dad! But there's that other part of me that's nearly the same age as her dad, and I can't get enough of this! Dad is absolutely winning!
And it's PURE GOLD that dad would post a picture of the two in their short shorts with the caption "You wear yours out in public? I will wear mine! Parenting 101!"
Yep! Winning!
