Over the past week, Cam Newton acknowledged that he had two items in his locker that he kept as motivation. One was a bottle of wine that Cameron Jordan, who is a defensive end for the Saints, sent him, and the other was a broom. An unknown sender sent Cam the broom after the Saints swept the Panthers last season.
Well, in pregame last night at BofA, Cam came out wearing custom cleats that featured a bottle of wine and a broken broom. The label on the wine read "Get Back Vineyards of NC #1 Reserve."
The cleats did not bring Cam luck, however, as the Panthers went down to the Saints 12-9, and Carolina has now lost six in a row.
