Dale Jr sent out a tweet earlier this week that pretty much explains it all. He said "When I decided to retire from racing cars in 2017, I still had a contract remaining with the @Unilever brand @Hellmanns to drive 1 @XfinityRacing event in 2018. Well, it’s this weekend @RichmondRaceway. I’m excited, nervous, and it feels weird. 830am practice Friday morning."
This will be in tomorrow night's Xfinity race at Richmond. If you look for him Saturday night in the cup series race, you will have missed him!!! But it sure is going to be awesome seeing Jr behind the wheel of an 88 car again!
Of course, Junior's announcement set off a flurry of tweets from inquisitive fans, several of which he answered!
Junior also recently posted a picture on Instagram of him and his guys at Hickory.
