Chatting with Austin Dillon

Austin Dillon secured his spot in NASCAR's 2018 Chase for the Championship in the first race this season when he won the Daytona 500.  Prior to that impressive win, Austin had one other win in the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup series when he won the Coke 600 in 2017 at his home track of Charlotte Motor Speedway.  He was the 2011 Camping World Truck Series Champion and the 2013 Xfinity Series Champion.

This weekend, Austin and the rest of NASCAR head to Darlington for the Southern 500.  This is always a fun race for drivers and fans alike because Darlington has taken on a "throwback" scheme ever since returning to Labor Day weekend several years ago.

This morning, the number 3 team rolled Austin's car off the trailer and revealed their throwback paint scheme, which is a tribute to the 3 car driven by Dale Earnhardt in the 1995 All-Star Race.  The car was known as "Quicksilver."
