Parade of Power at Charlotte Motor Speedway

Charlotte Motor Speedway has some serious fun planned Wednesday with their annual Parade of Power.

The event itself runs from noon until 2 and is free, but Wednesday morning at 8, the speedway will have a ticket booth set up where the first 100 fans can get a wristband to get autographs from NASCAR star Ryan Blaney, Indy 500 Champion Will Power, and four-time NHRA Pro Stock Champ Greg Anderson.

The parade will roll at noon and is expected to arrive at Charlotte Motor Speedway around 12:15.  The route will go from zMax Dragway, across Bruton Smith Blvd, will turn right at the tower and will continue around the outside of the track to enter the speedway from the back at Gate 25. The parade will then travel through turns three and four and down the frontstretch.  At the conclusion, the parade vehicles will be on display toward the end of pit road and there will be free monster truck rides for the kids in the middle of pit road.  There will also be a Q&A session in Victory Lane.

What a great opportunity to see some really cool cars up close, meet some neat people, and even go up in the stands and take a good look at the Roval before the cup cars have their first race on it September 30th!  And let me mention again...it's all FREE!

I chatted with our friend Scott Cooper from Charlotte Motor Speedway about the Parade of Power.  Here is our conversation in it's entirety.
