Big congratulations are certainly in order for Dale Jr and Kelley Earnhardt. Yesterday, Governor Roy Cooper presented the two with North Carolina's Order of the Long Leaf Pine. Since 1963, Governors in North Carolina have presented this award to people who have made significant contributions to their communities by way of their exceptional service and accomplishments. Those who are honored with this award become North Carolina Ambassadors, and their names and award dates go into a roster maintained by the Order of the Long Leaf Pine Society.
