Amazon founder Jeff Bezos and his fiancée Lauren Sanchez were spotting having dinner with President-elect Donald Trump at Mar-a-Lago Wednesday (December 18) night in photos shared by the New York Post Thursday (December 19) morning.

The billionaire's appearance came days after he reportedly informed Trump's team that he would donate $1 million to his inaugural fund, according to the Wall Street Journal. Bezos previously had a rocky relationship with Trump with his Washington Post having endorsed both Hillary Clinton and Joe Biden in past elections against him, however, things seemed to cool off after the newspaper refused to endorse a candidate in 2024.

Bezos claimed he was "optimistic" about Trump's second term while appearing at the New York Times' DealBook Summit earlier this month.

“I’m actually very optimistic this time around,” Bezos said via the New York Post. “He seems to have a lot of energy around reducing regulation. If I can help do that, I’m going to help him.”

“We do have too many regulations in this country,” he added.

Trump also said he hopes to re-establish ties with business leaders upon reclaiming office in 2025.

“I want to get ideas from them,” Trump said while ringing the New York Stock Exchange bell last week. “Look, we want them to do well.”

Other tech leaders who have pledged donations to the inaugural fund include OpenAI CEO Sam Altman and TikTok CEO Shou Zi Chew, both of whom met with Trump earlier this week, while Tesla CEO Elon Musk was one of the most prominent figures to campaign for Trump during the 2024 election.
