Reba McEntire Unveils 'Happy's Place' Theme Song Penned With Carole King

Reba McEntire released the theme song to her new comedy series on Friday (October 11), one week before the show is set to premiere.

“I’m so happy for the opportunity to write the theme song for Happy’s Place with my good friend, Carole King,” McEntire said in a statement via her record label. “It just doesn’t get much better than that! I hope my fans will love this song as much as they did the theme song for the Reba show.”

McEntire famously performed the theme song of her beloved early 2000s sitcom, “I’m a Survivor.” Reba premiered in 2001, and the finale aired in 2007. The show also starred Christopher RichJoAnna Garcia SwisherSteve HoweyScarlett PomersMitch Holleman, and Melissa Peterman, who joins McEntire in the Happy’s Place cast.

McEntire plays Bobbie, who inherits the Happy’s Place tavern from her father. However, she’s “surprised to discover that she has a new business partner, Isabella (Belissa Escobedo), a twentysomething half-sister that she never knew she had,” per the show’s description. Happy’s Place also stars Pablo CastelblancoTokala Black Elk, McEntire’s real-life boyfriend Rex Linn. McEntire executive produces the series with Michael HanelMindy SchultheisMatt BerryPamela Fryman and writer Kevin Abbott, who created Happy’s Place with Julie Abbott.

Happy’s Place will premiere on NBC at 8 p.m. on Friday, October 18, and streaming the next day on Peacock.
