Little Big Town will join forces with Sugarland on the 2024 CMT Music Awards stage to deliver the world premiere performance of an “electrifying” new collaboration. The performance corresponds with Little Big Town’s 25th anniversary together, according to the quartet’s record label, and marks Sugarland’s first CMT performance together since 2011, CMT noted in an announcement on Thursday evening (March 28).

The last time Little Big Town — made up of Karen Fairchild, Kimberly Schlapman, Phillip Sweet and Jimi Westbrook — and Sugarland — inaugural CMT Equal Play Award recipient Jennifer Nettles and Kristian Bush — performed on the CMT Music Awards stage together took place 15 years ago. They teamed up with Jake Owen to perform “Life In A Northern Town,” CMT noted. This year’s performance will mark the 13th time Little Big Town has taken the CMT Music Awards stage, following their most recent in 2022, the global debut of “Hell Yeah.” Sugarland will reunite at the CMTs after their rendition of “Stand Up” in 2011, spotlighting American Red Cross Tornado Relief efforts and the victims of devastating tornadoes in the U.S. that year.
