Tropical Storm Sally, previously a Category 2 Hurricane that hit the Gulf Coast, is making its way to the Carolinas Thursday. Heavy rain and flash flooding are both a threat to our listening area.
"Rainfall totals of five to seven inches are expected," Chief Meteorologist Brad Panovich said. "There could be a few isolated severe storms that produce south and east of I-85."
Residents should be very cautious throughout the day and be aware of flash flooding near streams, creeks, rivers and flood-prone areas.
