"We are very excited to announce that the Komen Charlotte Race for the Cure is going virtual this year! While we will miss seeing everyone in person, we know that our community will come together to support Komen’s mission to help individuals fighting breast cancer while investing in much-needed research. While we may not be able to gather in a large group in Uptown Charlotte, we will keep our mission moving forward from communities and neighborhoods across our 13 counties and share experiences on Race Day through social media, TV and more. Walk with your friends, fundraise with your team – get creative and have fun!"

On event day, we invite you to join us online to hear stories from survivors and those living with breast cancer, to learn about the impact of Komen's research discoveries, public policy advocacy and direct patient support services, and to celebrate your fundraising success. Then, we encourage you to set out on the sidewalks of your own neighborhood to earn your Virtual Finisher Medal by walking 6,000 steps for your commitment to end breast cancer.
