Virtual Donation Drive Benefitting Loaves & Fishes
WCNC Charlotte and our iHeartMedia Charlotte are teaming up for a virtual donation drive to help Loaves & Fishes, a network of food pantries. They are seeing nearly triple the need for emergency groceries as hard financial times and employment hit the state and Mecklenburg County hard due to the Coronavirus.
Earlier this year WCNC Charlotte helped fill their shelves with 275,000 pounds of food with Scouting For Food. Now they only have about 5 to 6 weeks left of donations on their shelves. We know that times are tough and not everyone can give. That's ok. But if you can, every little bit helps. A donation of 33 dollars can provide someone with a weeks worth of nutritionally balanced groceries. To donate please visit wcnc.com/help or text HUNGERACTION to 44321.
