Hamburger Joe’s in N Myrtle Beach Takes Down Dollars For Good Cause

If you've ever been to North Myrtle Beach then you've probably stopped in at Hamburger Joe's. It's a tourist and local hot spot and they have some of the best burgers you'll ever taste. Something Hamburger Joe's in North Myrtle is known for is all the money stapled to the walls of the restaurant. It's the first thing you see. Real money that goes from the floor to the ceiling. That money has now been taken down but for great cause! The restaurant's representative Richard Brooks said "I should have about 75 employees right now. We're down to about 15. A lot of my employees though have voluntarily laid themselves off because they don’t want to bring anything back home to family members or friends." The money that has been taken down from the walls is going to help their laid off employees during this time. The employees will be hired back once the coronavirus closures are over.

I know I sure can't wait for the closures to be over with and be one of the first people to go back to North Myrtle to support this restaurant. I captured this comment on their facebook page which truly shows the heart of who they are and just how much the money meant to those who supported the restaurant.
