In an Instagram post, country music artist Sturgill Simpson shared he has tested positive for COVID-19. Sturgill said he had been on tour in Western Europe and then continued playing arena shows in the south east until early March. He played at Charlotte's Spectrum Center on March 6th and in Charleston, SC on March 10th before the tour was put on hold. On March 13th his wife took him to his local hospital ER due to chest pains, fever and pre-stroke blood pressure levels. According to Sturgill, he was denied a COVID-19 test due to "not fitting testing criteria." On April 6th, almost a month after his ER visit, Simpson and his wife were able to find a free drive thru COVID-19 testing facility. Both were tested. Strugill's test came back positive while his wife's test came back negative.

You can check out his entire Instagram post about his current COVID-19 experience in his Instagram picture below. Praying for a speedy recovery.
