Maren Morris Has Beef With Lower Broadway Bars During Coronavirus Pandemic

Nashville, Tennessee is a very popular tourist destination all year long. No matter the day of the week, If you stroll down Broadway you'll see multiple Bachelor and Bachelorette groups hitting up the bars. (and there are lots of them) Twitter user Janna Abraham shared a video of a packed out bar and captioned the video "Downtown Nashville is Undefeated." Maren Morris saw the video and it set her off.

The entire country has been told to keep their distance from strangers and to WASH YOUR HANDS during this Coronavirus pandemic but clearly the people in Nashville didn't get the memo or just didn't care. Maren Morris shared her disgust on Twitter retweeting the video of the packed bar and adding the caption, "While the rest of us are trying to be responsible in our homes and get this s— over with, THIS?!" Broadway, you aren't a hero for staying open."

The mayor also seemed concerned. WKRN Channel 2 news in Nashville reported that Mayor Cooper called for Lower Broadway bars to close amid the coronavirus update. Looks like that's not going to happen.... not yet anyway. According to WKRN, many of the restaurant and bar owners have responded to Mayor Cooper's mandate calling it unconstitutional and vowing to remain open.

These are stressful times for many people for many reasons. I'm sure we will hear more on this in the coming days. Regardless of where you may go, be it the bar, church or the grocery store.... make sure to stay in the habit of WASHING your hands for at least twenty seconds and avoid touching your face. And show love, kindness and compassion. You never know the battle someone else is hiding behind their smile. LOVE LOVE and LOVE some more.
