If you thought Tom Hanks was the perfect person to play "Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood's" Mr Rogers, you weren't alone. The two guys seem to have the same loving kind soul. To Tom Hanks surprise (and ours too) there may be a reason the two seem so similar! They're actually distant cousins! Access Hollywood broke the news to Tom Hanks as he was walking the red carpet for the screening of his new film. According to Ancestry.com, they discovered that Tom Hanks and Fred Rogers share a common ancestor name Johannes Meffert, making them sixth cousins!
