Experts are predicting that the Fall colors will be brighter and more beautiful in North Carolina this year than they have in a long time. That's due in combination of 2019 being the 45th hottest year on record (avg of 54 degrees for the year) and having had the wettest year on record (24.54 inches of rain.) This combination will result in the combination of bring slightly later than normal and a brighter fall color season.

According to SmokyMountains.com colors will be at their peak in the mountains the weekend of Nov. 2nd and Nov. 9th in Charlotte. That said the peak season in NC should begin by the end of October and go on in to the middle of November.
