Kemba Walker Says Goodbye to Hornets, Will Play for Boston Celtics

Kemba Walker is saying goodbye to the Charlotte Hornets organization. Walker has agreed to sign a four-year, $141 million max contract to join the Boston Celtics.

"This was an extremely tough decision, and I hope people on both sides will take that the right way," Walker said in an essay he wrote for The Players' Tribune.

The point guard played his first eight NBA seasons in the Queen City and holds several Hornets franchise records.

According to reports, guard Terry Rozier has agreed to a three-year, $58 million contract with the Hornets via sign-and-trade.
