Principal Reads Books To Students Live on Facebook To Ensure Bedtime Story

An elementary school principal in pajamas hosts a once-a-week story-time for kids, live from her living room.

Belinda George, a first-year principal at Homer Drive Elementary in Beaumont Texas has read to as many as 2,000 kids and viewers on her "Tucked-In Tuesday" Facebook Live Story-time, which she'll do again tonight at 8:30 Eastern, 7:30 Central from her living room. What started out as an opportunity for the students at her school to get read to before they went to bed, has blossomed beyond Ms. George's wildest imagination, heading towards viral proportions reaching children all over the U.S.

Belinda reads to kids live from her living room, while wearing her pajamas for credibility purposes; so that when the story is done and she tells the children goodnight, that what she is saying to them can ring true.

“Tucked-in Tuesdays” are available for anyone who visits the school’s Facebook page
